Thursday 28 September 2018 saw us open up our school for the first time this year for Open Day, an occasion which provides for us an opportunity to ‘showcase’ what we do during the day.
Across the 3 sites today, we had some 100 visitors, including current parents looking upwards at the next stage in education we offer, external visitors for the first or more time, and perhaps loveliest of all, former pupils who are now parents in their own right, coming back to check whether we are the school they remember.
I’ll add to this blog over the next few days, to pick up further colour from today’s visits. It must be said that the conversations our current pupils started always seemed informative and on occasion hilarious.
What’ is certainly worth doing is visiting schools when they are normal. Open evenings are of course showcases, but frankly, the ‘warts and all’ can only be seen during ‘normal’ service. And also of course worth doing is having a look at their weekly communications as well – I have just finished reading our weekly blurb, and the newsletters make a great read indeed. https://www.clairescourt.com/page/?title=Bulletin&pid=298
